I need some thoughts on this

Recommended Posts

I'm serving in the Army and I'm currently stationed in Korea. My sweetheart is waiting for me back in Illinois. I want to propose to her but I don't think I'll be able to go home any time soon. Here's what I was thinking. My parents are going to visit her soon and I was going to send the ring with them. While they are at her house I will call her and start talking to her for a little while. During this time, my parents will give the ring to her 4yr old son and have him go present it to her about the time I ask her to marry me. I need to know if this sounds like a good idea or not.

You don't know when you're coming back? Is your relationship stable enough where you could just wait to do it in person? If it's going to be a REALLY long time (years) before you see her, then it sounds like a great idea. Otherwise, I think she'd like it better if you did it directly!
