troublegal05 Posted November 17, 2004 Share Posted November 17, 2004 I was just wondering what are some songs/things that help you write and inspire you to write more deep and meaningful songs or to get in the mood to write....Somtimes I get some of my inspiration from good charlotte, linkin park, keane, and Simon and Garfukel...Does anyone have any suggustions to what kind of songs or different techniques that help them get in the mood for writing...Also I've noticed that latley since i've been writing alot i've gotton really bad calises and blisters on my fingers from constantly writing does anyone have a solution to what I can do to help prevent these blisters? Iceman26 Posted November 17, 2004 Share Posted November 17, 2004 Well artists that help me write are Depeche Mode, The Smiths, Morrissey, Joy Division, Dave Matthews Band, Dido, INXS, U2, Coldplay, Nine Inch Nails. I would say those artists help inspire me to write songs. I would suggest taking a break every once in a while to stop the blisters. Link to comment

Lily04 Posted November 17, 2004 Share Posted November 17, 2004 classical music & those songs I'd classify as 'bittersweet.' Usually songs by Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston & Deborah Cox work for that..but usually for poetry I don't listen to music at all.. Link to comment
