While they knew the motivations of these one liners. It was true. However, the people who say these things are emotional cowards and you can do better. Granted they may not have always been this way and they may grow up. If you want to "improve your chances" here are a few things you must do/know: 1) Tell them off without taking below the belt shots. 2) Laugh at their foolishness. 3) Cut them out of your life. 4) Cut their Friends out of your life. 5) Cut their Family out of your life. 6) Realize your dreams that the relationship had been holding you back from. 7) Ignore them when they contact unless it is about you. 8 ) Make sure that after you've told them off, that is it, no apologies for what you've said, no follow up and no levelling with them until they (if they) decide to try and level with you. 9) Move on and when you're ready to date others, do so. 10) Love yourself and realize that while you tried to be reasonable and give them the benefit of the doubt to work on your relationship problems, they did not, they took the easy way out and chased wet panties, a hardon or butterflies in their stomachs. You will eventually find someone that values your desire to work on problems head on. You will also learn how to be OK alone and eliminate all needyness as there are ways you can fulfill yourself. 11) Do the J-shore thing (hate the show but this is the truth) and get your GTL on because hitting the Gym, having a good complexion and a good wardrobe are going to be the easiest things you can do to make yourself START to feel better. 12) Read your ass off about the other sex, your sex, emotions and attraction. You will go into your next relationship or back out dating with a perspective that will have you picking and choosing what girls/guys you want to continue to talk to and you will find it easy as hell to get things going. 13) Remember that at one point this people were so GAGA for you that they did almost everything they could to be with you. They will eventually burn out and at the very VERY least one day you may get your apology. It is however, best for you to forgive them. THERE IS NO NEED TO TELL THEM THIS AT ALL!!! 14) Help others and you will reap the rewards of vicarious satisfaction and relief. 15) If it walks like a Duck, talks like a Duck, looks like a Duck, takes Duck photos on FB and is not a Platypus it is a Duck. Don't listen to anything they say that contradicts the observations you have garnered from the ascertations that are proposed by the preponderence of evidence. Keep your heads up! Link to comment
