whysoalone
I'm getting short stabbing pains on the left side of my body around 4 inches above my waist line. They come in bursts, but when they come they hurt. I'm after quick opinions before It gets worse and I feel the need to run to the emergency room. Link to comment

whysoalone
It seems to be going away, I think, I hope. Link to comment
BritterSweet
A stabbing pain in the lower right abdomen could mean appendicitis, which is an emergency (though it might not be confined to there when it's at an early stage). The upper right area is where the gallbladder and liver are, so it might be something there, but the pain could also be radiating from someplace else. It would be best to see a doctor and find out what's going on. Also tell the doctor if there are any other changes besides pain, like changes in your bowels or appetite. Link to comment
