Waiting game......

I went on my second interview for a position that I'd really like to get on Monday afternoon. I was told that either way...they would let me know. My question is...should I email and ask? (email has been the "form" of communication from the hiring manager) Should I leave it alone and wait? IDK I don't want to be a pain in the a**, but I also want them to know that I really want the position. Not sure what the proper etiquette is.

No but you can send a thank you note for the interview where you confirm your interest in the position. Good luck!

Yeah...that's what I was thinking but wondered if there were a way to question the progress of the decision while reiterating how much I would like to be their choice.

You already sent a thank you email. I would leave it at that. I have no doubt that they know you are keen. Wait for THEIR response.

Well...I thought for sure I would have heard something by now. I'm guessing I wasn't the one and they will let me know next week. Ugh...I guess it wasn't meant to be. Onward and upward.
