I struggle at sending the first message on dating sites. I struggle at what to say

 

Well this one girl I would like to chat with has on he rprofile that she loves to cook and "love to cook you some dinner"

 

so I thought about sending this

 

"Hey, How's it going? Noticed that we have similar taste in music. Asking ALexandra and Blessthefall are some of my favorites!! I also have some interest in Art. I'd be interested in chatting with you and getting to know you. Maybe you could cook me dinner since you said you would like to on your profile

that's cool until the end. instead of that tongue face, do smiley face. it's more sincere.

Offer to take her out to dinner and then she can reciprocate by cooking you dinner the next time.

 

Smiley faces should be used with discretion they can often convey the wrong message.

Bleh. I wouldn't have responded to that.

 

You need to ASK her something about herself, besides what she can do for you. Don't make it about you and your interests and your needs. Ask about HER. Like, "I see you like xyz band. Have you ever seen them in concert? I hear they put on a killer show".

 

If a guy wrote me in a first email asking when I could make him dinner, he'd get a quick and permanent delete. Unless her profile said she likes to make strangers dinner on a first date, don't dare ask such a thing.
