- Umina/Umina Beach (is Umina and Central Coast one in the same?)

Central Coast = is where families go on holidays when it's the long weekend. It's also where old people move to to retire. So if you're a pensioner and just wanting a relaxed way of living, this is the place to move to. It would be awesome for people that love fishing. The houses in these areas are generally a lot cheaper than say North Sydney (see below).

Umina Beach = is in the Central Coast. As per above. The Central Coast is a great part of New South Wales. But not great if you are young (lack of clubs, pubs etc etc) and want work or works in the city (Sydney).

Mona Vale = upper middle class (but probs more upper class). If you are wanting to work in the city (heart of Sydney), you may want to get a place here as it is very close (albeit expensive). North Sydney is famous for posh schools with students from posh families. Lol that may be a little bit a of a generalisation but you get the point. Houses in these areas are generally a lot more expensive due to the private schools and the proximity to the city. Generally low crime as like any North Sydney suburb.

Palm Beach = is awesome. As like any beaches in Australia, this one is touristy ALTHOUGH not as touristy as Bondi Beach or Cronulla Beach. If you are wanting to live here, expect to fork out an arm and a leg. As per Mona Vale, this beach is in North Sydney. If you lived in Mona Vale, this is probably one of the closest beaches, the other would be Avalon.

Hope this helps!
