What are the 'bases'?

My bf said yesterday that he wasn't suggesting sex, he just wanted to go to 'third base.' I know this sounds really immature, but what is 'third base'? I assume home is sex, but how far do you go with that? Because I really thought he was going to go further..is it basically everything except penis + vagina? i.e. you're both naked & making out? And then what are the other two? I've always assumed first was kissing, 2nd reaching above the waist, and 3rd below..that's what I heard in like gr. 8 anyways

You're correct. 1st base is kissing. 2nd base is above the waste touching, and 3rd base is below the waste touching (ie fingering).

I guess there are many variations but I know them like airman

1st base - kissing

2nd base - fingering/handjob

3rd base - licking out/ blow job

4th base - sex

Second Base - Touching, outside the clothes genital contact

Third base - Oral sex, mutual masturbation

Home run - Sex

I always thought of it as:

 

1st = kissing

2nd = feeling/ felt up

3rd = oral

home plate = sex

hmm..the one that most ppl. are agreeing with seems kinda silly to me. I would rather it be like this, personally:

 

1st - kissing

2nd - touching, outside of the clothes genital contact

3rd - touching without clothes & kissing (as Lily suggested..)

4th - sex

 

I'm not sure if this is necessary the 'correct' order, but I wouldn't want to do oral sex first & I don't think you necessarily have to do it in that order..Personally, I would rather just go from kissing to sex..giving blowjobs doesn't appeal to me that much though, so hopefully my bf doesn't expect this before actual sex..do most guys expect oral before sex?
