Someone tell me what's so great about NC

In 95% of the cases, everyone's advice is to initiate the no-contact rule. Whether it's a good or bad breakup, it's always gotta be no contact.

 

I'm just wondering what it is exactly that makes NC so great? I mean, I miss my ex terribly, and she wants to spend time with me, so why not?

Because you still have feelings for and whether you say it or not, you be hoping for a chance to get back with her. She may not feel this way, and you're just going to set yourself up or more hurt and pain. It may feel good at the time, but afterwards you will feel like crap. You will find yourself not going out with other women in case something works out with your ex, and while she dates other guys and gets on with her life, you will be left hurting and alone.

 

I'm not saying you can't be friends just, give yourself time to get over her first, then think about friendship. When you still have feelings for her, you wont be able to be much of a friend.
