KG
On the phone last night, she admitted feeling doubts about trusting/loving someone so much again. She's coming off a divorce, after 19 years of marriage. We fell hard and fast for each other, and I'm wondering if this is normal, for 2 people in their later years of life? It's been 7 months of affection, attention, and caring. Link to comment
Sanesoul
I think it's normal, and I also think it's good that you seem to have great communication. Link to comment
helloladies21
As for whether it's normal, it happens quite often. So in that sense it's normal. But as for whether it's good/bad, it's an extremely large obstacle that needs to be overcome otherwise it will end your relationship. She's taking all of the insecurities that resulted from her last relationship and projecting them onto you. If you feel this is unfair, you should confront her on this point. Link to comment
Jeen
It is normal, there will always be a little "residue" from the past that makes it hard to give ones heart completely at first. Link to comment
