candykisses
I returned a top yesterday (which I originally purchased with a Mastercard).. and just realized today that I actually gave the cashier my other credit card, a Visa. The refunded amount has yet to show up on my Visa online banking.. which worries me because any refunds I make usually shows up RIGHT AWAY when I check online banking. Odd thing about yesterday was that the transaction went through.. shouldn't it not have worked? Don't refunds have to made back onto the SAME CARD? HELP! Link to comment
jul-els
Yeah, that stuff is all done by machines so it just hasn't been caught by a human yet. It might take a couple days. Just call your visa account and explain. They shouldn't have a problem straightening it out for you. Link to comment
candykisses
okay I'll call the Visa company... should I call the store too ? And the Mastercard company as well? Link to comment
jul-els
I'd start with visa and see what they tell you and then do whatever other footwork is necessary after that. Link to comment
livinginsbi
depends on how the store is set up... when I worked retail, we could credit a different card, if that's what they wanted.. we could just never give cash instead of a credit on a card. Link to comment
lost1607307474
It shouldn't not go into your Visa just because it is a different card, I wouldn't worry. Being the weekend, it may take a while to go through and might not show up until Monday. I know sometimes things have taken ages to show up on my Visa! I wouldn't worry until it's been a bit longer and maybe if it still hasn't showed up until next week. Link to comment
