monkayy202
Hey guys. Quick question. I have a close friend who seems to always try to compete with me. No matter what I am doing he always likes to reassure me that he is better and how big of a business person he really is. He has a lot of anxiety issues and weight problems. Is it that he is just jealous of me or something? He tries to compete with me with everything from excelling in personal life all the way to eating. Its getting extremely annoying. I know some of you may say why is he your friend, well there are some times that he is cool but when he is craving for attention he will make sure everyone knows about it. Very annoying over time. Has anyone been in this situation before? Link to comment
Scorpion Fury
He's insecure. i have known people like this, but am not friends with them anymore. I don't have time for people that feel like they have to be better than me. Link to comment

Creative
They remind me of the type of people I get to know for a week or two and decide not to further pursue the friendship. You need better radar to not make him your close friend. But old friend is a different issue, but lose him. You'll eventually have to anyways. Link to comment
