he shy talking through im, how will he talk on phone??

Chris doesnt know what to say through Email or IM with me. But his mom talk to him say how you would like if Nicole would call you. He said we wouldnt mind. But I think i dont know if I call him bc it will just make me attach to him even more. i just dont want to get hurt. he cant talk on the internet but he is going to talk on the phone. and he told my best friend his cuz he wants to get to know me better but how are we suppose to do that???

I agree with SwingFox. You'll need to take the lead here. You say he wants to get to know you better, but he is shy and not sure how to make the first step. Why not help him along? Some suggestions:

 

Let him know you really appreciate the effort he is making.

 

Surprise him by finding out everything you can about something that he is interested in.

 

Don't talk too much about yourself but find areas of common interest to talk about.

 

When you're talking on the phone with him for the first time things can be a bit awkward. Try things like:

 

How was your day?

How was work or school?

What did you do this weekend (week)?
