A Poem For Hope

SEIZING TOMORROW

 

Sometimes it's all worthwhile,

To reach forward and go the extra mile,

To attempt to seek happiness in times of sorrow,

Laying to rest what was yesterday, and running the race of tomorrow.

 

The journey of life is indeed a mystery,

And while the events of days gone by are now history,

We know not of what will be, when trying to seek new paths to follow,

So sometimes it pays to take the plunge, and leap into waters of tomorrow.

 

While time is yet passing by,

My chance is now to spread my wings and fly.

At the very least to smile, refraining from the urge to dwell and wallow,

But rather breathe again and soar into the skies of tomorrow.

 

Occasionally I will sit and reflect, at times I may weep,

But in the morning I shall again attempt to climb those mountains so steep.

Those sad times may have been hard to swallow,

But now I can begin my journey again, and scale the heights of tomorrow.

This is a very inspirational poem and has a lovely flow to it. I really need to apply it in my life.
