There are days where it's less likely, but there's no "safe" time during the cycle to have sex with no possiblity of pregnancy. Link to comment

The trick is determining how long the cycle is and when the woman ovulates. This is done by creating a chart where the woman records her periods, their frequency and duration, etc. Since this method is not 100% effective, most people suggest contraception every time you have sex.
