online friend has drinking problems

i have this online friend, jessica. were good online friends and have been for a while. actually, theres always been something between us romantically. but anyways, jessica has been drinking alot lately, and its starting to worry me. i wanna get her to stop. what do i do?

I'm happy for your friends, having such a caring buddie such as you

 

May I ask how old she is? It's pretty common, atleast in college, to drink like mad. Unfortunately a lot of the people who are active drinkers under college can find it hard to stop later on in life.

 

If she doesn't find a problem with her drinking, it could be very hard to stop. I used to drink a lot but now I've found that it's not really worth it. I haven't been pissdrunk in over a year now!

 

So I guess I'm saying that she has to learn for herself. Of course you could express your opinion, but don't get angry if she doesn't want to listen.

 

Good luck to the both of you, I hope that she can get out of it if that is what she wants.

Tell her how you feel about it that is the only was to tell her but you cant make her change if she douse not want to.

All you can really do is let her know how much you worry about this and why, and let her take from it what she will to decide if she wants to change her lifestyle. You can only express how you feel and your concerns, you can't force her to see your side, only give it to her to take into consideration.
