I think the best thing is to tie it back- but not too tight- otherwise you will end up waking up with a bump in your hair where you had it tied back. Link to comment
HealingHandsWarmHeart
try a satin pillow case...i have heard this helps your hair stay nicer will you sleep. Its hard to offer hairstyles..since i have no clue what your hair looks like! lol Link to comment

Jetta
Well you can have it permanently straightened. Otherwise just go with the wavy hair. Mine is wavy and sometimes curly. If you scrunch it when it's wet it gets curlier. Link to comment
CarnelianButterfly
I have wavy/curly hair and I usually wake up with a mess. I shower in the morning so I can condition and comb it out. I comb it really well and then blow dry it on high heat, making sure not to poof it too much. When its almost dry, I switch to cold air and blow my air until its cool, this helps the hair cuticle lay flatter and prevents poofiness and makes it shinier. I use a round brush to smooth it all out and get all the curl that's left going roughly the same direction. I've used a flat iron on really humid days when I had a meeting, but for the most part I don't like how much it damages my hair, so I just let it curl. Link to comment
omayra
yeah hot irons burn the hair it reealy does what else can i do? Link to comment
CarnelianButterfly
A chemical straightening may work, but that does a lot of damage too and as soon as your roots start coming out a kink happens around the scalp. I'm of the schoold of thought that if I have to damage my hair to get it to conform to some standard, my hair is not at fault, the fashion is stupid. Link to comment
