Timing and spacing of dating

I'm in college, someone on here told me to be casual about dating. I'm confused. Well, I'm going to see a movie with a friend, who's single and will hog any girl like its his own, tonight. I went to the gym with a I like girl yesterday.

 

Should I call her to go to the movie tonight when I know she said she was going to be busy today?

 

I hung out with her yesterday already, would this be awkward.

if you know she's going to be busy today than perhaps you should wait until tomorrow...

No, you shouldn't ask for a date on a day she's already told you is a busy one for you, and for goodness sake, don't ask her on any dates where your girl-hogging friend is going to be along either. Are you trying to purposely sabatoge your chances here?? Because you were really down the other day about what you perceived were missed opportunities. Make sure you're not your own worst enemy as you navigate the dating world.

 

Now, that being said...keep putting yourself out there. Eventually, you will enjoy dating and it won't seem so complicated.

She made monday our official workout day. How should I progress this further? I'm in college, should I really care?
