I love him but he doesnt love me

Theres this guy who lives up the road from me & we've known each other & have been friends for about 2 years. He's about 18 months older than me & we see each other all the time, as we now go to the same school. And I think Ive fallen in love with him as I cant stop thinking about him & everytime Im not with him I really miss him & everytime he is with me I just want to go up to him and hug him and never let go. Most nights I even find myself crying over him. He now knows how I feel about him but he just wanted to stay friends and it really broke my heart & now it hurts even more. Its really getting me down and Im not doing as well as I could on my studies in 6th form. I just want to stop hurting and to be able to just be friends with him. And next year he goes of to Uni and Im scarred that Ill miss him too much it will hurt, if you know what I mean. I just dont know what to do. I really want to get over him if I cant be with him but I dont know how.
