Being pulled back to the past

I was with this man, “J”, for a little under a year. However we had a past as well. However, i made a mistake and he stopped talking to me. I pleaded for his forgiveness but he wouldn’t give it to me. I moved on. I’ve now been with a new man “M”, for 9 months now, but i still think about J often. I’ve texted him a few times over the past 9 months but the other day I texted him and he said he keeps wanting something to come out of it but he knows it will never happen. I am in love with two people but I am so invested with M that i couldn’t imagine hurting him in that way. I just don’t know what to do because I love both of them and they both want me.
