This has gone too far! I havent been able to stop thinkin about this girl for over 3 1/2 yrs. Can someone please help me try to forget her

I've loved this girl for 9 years. I havent stopped loving her. She's my bestfriend and she'll never see me as anything more than that.

 

Forget her? Hardly likely. But being obsessed with the girl is one thing. What you do with that obsession is another. You always have a choice. You just need to be aware of them. You can very easily walk away. Or you can very easily channel your obsession into something else, turn it into something else.

You've liked th girl for 3 and a half years. What's keeping you from asking her out? If there is any possiblity of something happening, you need to go for it. If there isn't, then you need to move on. That's not to say you will stop thinking about her. Once someone is in our heart I don't think they ever go away completely. But you should focus your attention on other things, other activites, meeting new people. That feeling you have for her will lessen until you only feel this way occasionally
