Randomly (out of the blue) received this from an ex from years' ago.

 

Dear Lady,

 

I was informed that you received a promotion at X firm. Congrats. I can think of no one else more deserving than you.

I have not heard from this person in years. I have had this promotion for nearly a year, and i really needed his approval to feel good about it (not!).
