1st Date - Now What?

I a going on a first date, for the first time in 17 years (recently seperated and divorced). Met her online, we are meeting for drinks. If all goes well and we hit it off, whats the protocol at the end...some have said, just a hug, not a kiss... Thoughts please?

Just go with it, whatever you feel is right - if it goes wonderfully and you guys immediately hit it off, I would suggest a kiss. If it's still a little awkward I'd tell her you had a great time and give her a call the next day. But it really has everything to do with what you feel like doing - there's no black and white answer

I think that you should play this by ear, remember that you are slowing getting back into the dating scene after 17 years. You are going to have to feel out the situation.

If you like how things are going and then you want to kiss her at the end, you must feel that she wants you to as well or she could think you're moving too fast. I'm a woman and personally I wouldn't kiss on the first date; would be too soon for attraction to be that high (even if you interact a lot online) and more importantly it would seem to me like the guy just wants to get me in bed.
