Just recently ended relations with an ex for the final time. The first two weeks or so of talking he acted so perfect then what do you know two weeks later hes back to the same abusive ways as before. I dont feel stupid for taking this chance, it helped me really realize that things will never work. Thankfully this time its easier i mean it hurts a little, but no reason to waste any more time on someone that doesn't care about me when theres someone amazing out there. Just be cautious before trying to reconcile. Sometimes the second time is even worse when it ends but lucky for me i was checking out before i had the chance to hurt. Wish everyone luck with whatever choice they make.

Good for you, people suffer for many months thinking "what if" until they realize they should be thinking, "what happened" and "what is".

I went through the same thing. It really isn't worth it. You can do better than that.
