How should I deal with this?

My gf dumped me about a month ago.. It was terrible at first for me but I have improved drastically since then in my opinion.. we went about a week NC and she texted me today asking how my weekend was.. I said it was good, how was yours and all of that.. not a long conversation at all.. then tonight she chatted me on fb saying how pathetic the Bears game was and we talked on there for about 30 min about the game and what our plans were for the weekend.. nothing to big.. is this bad for me? I feel like I can accept the fact that we cant date anymore while we try to move on.. She's already seeing a guy that she said she liked but she wanted to take some time to see how it would go.. she did tell me a couple weeks ago that I will always have a chance to get back together with her if she realizes she made a mistake on wanting to break up with me.. we were together for 3 years.. this doesn't mean I'm going to wait for her, but how should I handle this?

I dunno, why do you want to talk to her? She is dating someone else and telling you that maybe you can get back together in the future? Do you really like being a fall back guy?
