what's a guy to do...

ok, here's the situation gang. over the last couple of weeks i have been seeing a particular young woman whom i get along with really well. we see each other most days and lately have been spending more and more time together. here's the rub though, she has a boyfriend right now that she has been seeing for six months or so. she says he doesnt mean much to her and that she really enjoys being with me, yet she doesnt seem to be in much of a hurry to get rid of him. he is overly possesive of her, always calling her to find out what she's doing and who she is with. added to the fact the guy never bothers to come and see her, makes me wonder why she would want to keep him around at all. this of course, leaves me wondering where i stand in this whole situation. don't get me wrong, i am not head over heels for this girl, but i am not sure i like the idea of being her bit on the side if you know what i mean.

She sounds like she doesn't know what she wants...

 

She might just like you as a "friend".

 

She might keep the other guy around for security. She probably doesn't want to be alone. Sounds pretty immature if you ask me. If she is into you, and she was more mature about it then she would of left the other guy a while ago- seems she's just keeping the other guy on a leash.
