How do you know if he's gay?

For those women who have been with guys that later confessed they were really gay, what were the signs? How do you know if the guy you are with is?

 

i know this is a general vague question, but there might be valid signs that i never saw before that i should be seeing.

If you see him kiss another guy, that might be a sign he's gay.

Ok well, here are some general tests to see if he's gay:

 

1. He loves Cher and/or any other popular female artist ex, Celien Dion, Whiney Houston, etc

 

2. He knows the difference between silk and satin.

 

3. He can name the brand of your shoes, bag, and clothes just by looking at you in them.

 

4. He kisses guys (thanks Johnagent...)

 

5. He checks out other men.

 

6. He's very meticulous about his clothes (not a surefire way to tell but still...)

 

7. They way he talks (SOMETIMES)

Not real accurate though, short of asking him and him being honest there is no 100 percent way to know for sure. I happen to like Celine Dion and Whitney Houston and yes I know the difference between satin and silk. And no, I'm not gay, far from it.

I'm sorry you took it the wrong way Amy, I wasn't trying to be an a**hole about it, honest. My literary ability isn't crash hot, in hindsight could have worded it better. I understand your point of view, and it's got some valid points, I was just pointing out that they aren't comlpetely accurate by relating to myself.

 

They are accurate to a certain degree though.

Ultimately, it's really hard to tell if he's with you. If you see him checking out hot guys or being drawn to things concernin good looking men, then those are very good signs. You may have to do a little investigating, such as searching his computer for any gay porn. Also, use your female instinct to see if he's really into you or just with you for convience.

The only 100% way to tell if a man is gay or not is to either ask him personally or catch him in the act somehow. Other than that, I don't think that there are any "signs" There are a lot of men that have been raised by women throughout their entire lives, so its inevitable that they take on some feminine characteristics. BUT! This does not mean that they're gay! We've become so quick to think that feminity automatically equals homosexuality but remember this not always necessarily the case.
