lila...
Does anybody know if it's safe to mix two different brands of contact lens solution? I have a small travel bottle with some of my old solution, and I need to use that bottle but don't want to throw away the solution, so my question is, do you think it would be safe to add the solution I use now (which is a different brand) to the old one? I know it seems like a stupid question, but it's my eyes we're talking about and it's not like mixing two different shampoos together, I'm a lot more cautious with my eyes. The one I'm using now is "ReNu" and the old one was "Complete". Link to comment
avman
I wouldn't mix them. You just never know. Just use up the one completely either by submersing or rinsing your lenses. But don't mix the solutions together for storing a lens. Link to comment
lila...
Actually you're right, I just googled it and read in a couple of different pages that you're not supposed to mix different solutions. Guess I'll have to throw it away. Oh and I think I'd rather throw it than use it up since I don't want to switch between 2 different solutions too quickly, it might not be healthy for my eyes. Thanks! Link to comment
