veeee
how long does it take for a man to realise his mistakes, how much he messed up? Perhaps never, or perhaps he does. However his ego, his pride would prevent him from ever telling you. I don't think my ex will ever apologise properly for all the mess he's done... and it seems pointless to point out his mistakes and having him apologise after stating them. Link to comment
Dako
I would guess it would be quite clear when you break up. Link to comment
HouseKitten
Confusion. Do you mean - to realise they messed up by leaving you? Or to realise they messed up during the relationship and that's why you left? Potentially never to both. Especially if you mean the first one. If they thought it was the right decision then it really doesn't matter that you think they were wrong - they can leave whether or not you think it's a good idea. As for messing up during the relationship - they might, but even if they do people don't make a habit of beating down their exes doors to apologise. They just suck it up, learn from it and move on.
