how long should i wait when im on the shot

I had got the shot a week ago exactually, how much longer can i wait until i can have sex without a condom (dont worry about the STD"s i got all that checked out for both of us)

What I can tell you is that if the shot is anything like the pill, be careful if you need to go on antibiotics for anything. With the pill, the antibiotics weaken the pill's effectiveness for up to 2 weeks after stopping the antibiotics. I strongly recommend using a different type of birth control during this time.

Hi, I know this was written a while ago. But, just to say, I read in a magazine the other day that there are some STDs that they don't automatically test for (in the UK) that people can still carry without obvious symptoms, like genital herpes and warts, and AIDS (unless you ask them to test for this). Although it may not happen, there is still a chance so I would use condoms aswell as the shot, just to be safe.
