Hope75 Posted March 16, 2009 Share Posted March 16, 2009 Orgasm is perfectly safe in a low risk pregnancy. If you have been put on pelvic rest (no sex) for any reason such as preterm labor or have a history of preterm labor you might want to check with your OB, since orgasm (whether it be from masturbation or intercourse) causes mild to moderate contractions of the uterus, which in a low risk pregnancy are fine, but in a high risk may be dangerous.
