I know what its like to make a mistake

the pain, the letdown, the persistent hate

I've kissed ones I shouldnt of kissed

and touched upon feelings better left undone

 

I have broken promises with the open of a bottle

and burnt down bridges with the flames of bravado

I have enveloped myself in a cocoon of shame

which turned me into a butterfly, wings torn and flayed

 

I know whats like to make a mistake

the pain, the hurt, the shame that i taste

I've kissed ones I shouldn't of kissed

and hurt those that don't deserve it

 

I am no stranger to mistakes

I don't hitchhike along the road of strife

I just walk myself through my problems

and motivate myself in life.
