I'm getting a divorce and had a question

I took the plunge. I have been so unhappy since we got back together but I just wanted to say I gave our relationship 110% when we got back together. I just got so fed up being controlled and demeaned on a daily basis, I came home after leaving the apt. during a fight and told him to get out and stay gone. He started destorying my stuff and I called the police who said He already called and said I was wrecking my stuff. STBXH moved back to his parents (an hour away) so I mailed the divorce paperwork by certified mail and just got it back today, signed by his father. Will the court system (Michigan) consider him filed if that is his mailing address?

Thats probably something you'll have to ask an attorney.

You would have to do a Proof of Service By Mail and it would be legal if IT WAS SIGNED BY HIM! It is not legal unless he signs it, not his father. Sorry.
