eurocar
Knives wielding Axes grinding Hearts pounding Unpleasant sustenance Pebble in the pond A drop in the bucket A fish in the sea A self-treaty. Who is that? That is not me I tell you, that could not be He looks at me strangely. Tragedy. Frailty. Magnanimity No mercy. Who stares back? (The wolves' hours) I stand here and wait (In a red sea) And still I know not Who the stranger is But he is not me. Link to comment

darkblue
You remind me remarkably of Sylvia Plath. (which is a high compliment) Do you take inspiration from her? Link to comment
eurocar
You remind me remarkably of Sylvia Plath. (which is a high compliment) Do you take inspiration from her? Thank you for the likening. I wish I could elevate myself to that plane, but in all honesty, I didn't have her or her work in mind when I wrote this or anything else. I've read The Bell Jar, but I can't recall reading many of her other works. She is a profound writer and poet, though, that's for sure. I don't think I'll ever attain that level of ability or accomplishment. Link to comment
