Homecoming.. third wheel issue?

Alright, well I'm going to homecoming with my girlfriend and all is going to be great. We're going in one big group with a bunch of our friends, and it should be a lot of fun. My girlfriend and I get along with these people, but will most likely end up wanting to be alone from them since we have no obligation to stay with them.

 

Now there is a slight problem.. my girlfriend's bestfriend has suddenly decided that she would go to homecoming after all. She does not have a date and will go with us in our group. This isn't so terrible, except her friend is REALLY clingy to her. My girlfriend doesn't pay hardly any attention to me while she is around her friend because her friend complains that she pays no attention to her, while in reality she does. This isn't good.. what should I do?

i guess the best thing to do is to talk to you girlfriend. tell her that you feel like the third wheel when around her and her best friend. she will prolly understand and try to work things out with her friend.
