    You determine how awkward it will be if she 'rejects' you. If you act like nothing happened and not make a big deal of it, things will go fine. If you act all weird around her they won't.

    Life experience is important. having something in common with the people you're talking to helps. Just practicing helps too. You're only 16, you still have lots of time to get a hang of this.
