  1. She comes back from vacation on Monday, so when I see her in the parking lot, I'm gonna tell her that I missed her, and then I'm gonna say: "We should go to lunch sometime". I'm curious to see what kind of response I'll get from that. That way I figure I'm putting it out there a little more that I am interested without coming directly out and asking her to lunch. I guess you can say I'm doing it indirectly. How does that sound?
  2. Actually, I think the reason why she tried to ignore that day (Friday) was because I just stayed in my car on the cell phne instead of walking in with her when I saw her. Anyway, when I saw her a few days later, she was back to her normal self. It was kinda cute....she said to me "I missed you this morning" (she usually says that when she doesn't see me in the morning), "but I knew I wouldn't see you because I had to come in real early this morning" Then she continued to tell me that she didn't come in on Monday, couldn't stay late, and was working more hours to clean up her desk before vacation. She's been away on vacation this week, so I'll see what's up with her next week when she comes back. I really thinks she likes me from the things she says and the little bit of flirting, but I think we're both just too gun shy (so to speak). If I'm not reading too much into it, just from the fact that she seemed not too talkative and wasn't going to say HI because I wouldn't walk in with her kinda tells me something. And, she must look for me in the morning, and just the fact that she said "I missed you this morning, but I knew I wouldn't see you", tells me that she obviously thinks about seeing me. Would you have the same assumption?
  3. Hey, Ballys - How was your date? I hope it went well! I think my crush is mad at me right now. Remember I told you guys that I purposely show up for work early and wait in my car for her to pull up so I can see and talk to her (she works in my bldg, but not for the same company, so if I don't go out of my way to see her, it could be hit-or-miss as to when we would see each other, maybe even weeks.) Anyway, I showed up before her like usual, but instead of getting out of my car when I saw her, I just stayed in my car and on my cell phone. I was parked 2 isles behind her and I saw her specifically looking back at my car like 4 times even as she was away from her car and walking into the bldg. Then I happened to see her an hour later in the ladies room and she wasn't even gonna acknowledge me or say hi, then I happened to see her when she was walkling back into the bldg. from lunch when I was outside on my cell phone and she walked right by me and didn't even look in my direction. I guess she took offence to the fact that I just stayed in my car. She must look for my car in the morning. That was the first and only time I did that. I happened to be in the middle of a call - and I also thought it would be good to just hang back a little this morning because I don't want her to realize that I am going out of my way to see her, so I was just trying to be a little coy, I guess. If we're not even dating and she gets like that over me not walking in w/her...what would she be like in a relationship....LOL Do you think if she's mad over that she is getting a little carried away?
  4. Hey Ballys, I forgot to say good luck and have fun on your date tom. night!!!
  5. As always, thanks for the advice!! I am hoping that I can make it easier for her to initiate something in a subtle way. We always talk and acknowledge each other, but there are times that she acts mire interested than others. Is that normal? Can someone like someone, but not always show it?
  6. I know what you mean, but we have been talking and flirting along with eye contact and all back-and-forth.
  7. Some of you...Ballys, Kaboom and a few others probably remember my situation with my crush in my office bldg. (Topic threads "Should I Act on This?" and I also posted in "Is my co-worker flirting with me?") Remember I was telling you guys how we were talking and she was flirting with me and I was going to try to get up the nerve to ask her out to lunch (remember the hoagie line I was going to use?..LOL) Well, anyway, I did mention that I was going to go to Wawa and get a hoagie, but she just smiled and didn't offer for me to go with her (This was 1st thing in the morning, so maybe lunch wasn't on her mind yet?!) I also didn't really initiate anything either or hint going together - just simply said: "I might try one of those hoagies at lunch today". I did bring her into my office this morning to give her about 7 golf brochure cards with coupons on some cards ranging from $5.00 to $20.00 dollars off on admission to various golf courses withing an hour to 2 hour ride from her house. I also gave her an activity magazine for that area that lists all the public and private golf courses. I rented a seashore house for vacation a couple of weeks ago and the realtor gave me an activity package, so I figured why not give all the golf info. to my crush because I know she loves golf. Should that tell her or be a sign to her that I like her? She was cute the other day when I limping due to a sprained ankle. She called my "Gimpy" and when she asked me what happened, I told her that I was playing with the dog that my friend and her partner just got. I did notice that after I mentioned "My friend and her partner", that my crush was making eye contact with me a little more than usual. I just can't come out and ask her if she's lesbian, and I'm still a little gun shy to ask her out anywhere just yet. Do you think that the fact I gave her all those golf brochures/coupons should be a sign to her that I'm interested in her?
  8. Thanks, I agree with you all!! Ballys, It's funny because even when she's in a skirt suit with a low pump, she still doesn't wear any makeup or carry a purse. Then other days if she's in a pantsuit or khakkis, she looks more masculine but not butchy. I'm gonna use that hoagie line tomorrow and I'll go from there.
  9. The other day when I was outside my office bldg. on my cell phone, the girl I like was leaving to go home and she walked by me and looked directly at me and said "Come on, let's go home" while motioning for me to come. I was thinking to myself damn, I wish I didn't have to work another half hour!...LOL Would you take that as flirting? It could have been innocent because we sometimes walk in together, so she could have been kidding to the fact that I was still in work and wasn't it time for me to leave since I came in the same time she did that day?! But, wouldn't she say "Time to leave" instead? OR, there could've been an underlining flirty message with the "let's go home" line.
  10. I've mentioned in other posts about the woman that I like in work and I feel that she has been flirting with me...well anyway, I noticed that she is wearing professional type skirt suits to work. Some are just above the knee length and she will also wear a plain skirt that comes to the mid to lower calf area with a low heeled pump. In her casual dress she seems to wear golf shirts and khakkis (pants or shorts), never ever wears make up except for maybe foundation here and there. This question may be stupid, but to Lesbians wear skirts wear skirt suits and pumps like that?
  11. Hey, JustAHuman - I'm in the same boat you are! Did you ever notice when she ignores you if there are other people or "certain" people around? Sometimes my girl (crush) and I will ignore or only say hi to each other and that's it if other people or "certain" people are around. Even if we don't acknowledge each other in front of co-workers, we still glance and look at each other. If I were you, I would just make it a point to say "Hi", even if you're the one that always has to say it first. You guys defintely have to get on a more confortable friendly level first. I have it easy with my girl because even if I can't think of anything to say (I can think of so much to say to her and then when I'm talking to her I can go blank), she always says something...even if it's just something flirty like "I missed you....", or she mentions the nice weather. We always talk when we have the opportunity. Good luck and just keep saying Hi and that should progress to a more contant talking level and then go from there.
  12. She works for another company than I do, so I really don't know who she's friendly with. I know she talks to mostly men men because she told me the other day that's why she took up golf because all the men she works with play. So I guess she considers herself one of the guys. I don't really see her hang around with anyone either. She is always alone when she goes out to pick up her hoagies. It's funny because today I ran into her in the elevator and she was with a lady that works in her office. I could tell she was kinda looking out of the corner of her eye to see if I was going to get on the elevator too. I did get on and when I did the door started to shut a little and I guess I kinda shuddered and she said to me "Don't worry, we won't let the door hit you", then next she said "I MISSED YOU THIS MORNING!". She did glance down the front of me real briefly also. I was going to use that hoagie line tomorrow, but she said she won't be in tomorrow, so I'll use it on Monday. I'm just at a point where I feel we are both interested in each other and I want it to go to a further step outside of work! But...as I'm not 100% sure, I just hope I'm not mistaking friendlyness for flirtyness.
  13. Thanks for all your advice and input! I did notice that on some days she is more flirty than others. She never ignores me unless we see each other in the bathroom and I am with some of my co-workers. That is usually the only time we might not say hi to each other. But, to me that is probably a good sign, because if we liked each other as only friends, we wouldn't feel funny acknowledging each other infront of certain people....right? As I was waiting for the elevator in work on Monday, I noticed her coming (she was walking in and talking with a man from her office) so I held the door for them and when she got on she said "thanks, dear!" and then stood right next to me and stared a little intensley in my eyes for a moment and then glanced down the front of me. I can only imaging what her co-worker was thinking, plus there was a woman in the back of the elevator. I can only imaging what they were thinking...LOL!!! I did also notice that when we're walking forward and talking, I will look at her and she will have a little smile on her face...it's so cute!! Anyway, Is there some subtle way I can find out for sure if she's lesbian without coming out and asking? Also, how do I know for sure when she glances down the front of me that she's not checking out my clothes? Then again, I get plenty of compliments on my clothes, but never notice anyone else look me up and down like that.
  14. Thanks!! I did notice thought when I'm in the elevator with her she does soemtimes stare down the front of other females. I know she has creeped some people out before. I do like her, but I don't know if she is just maybe after sex? Maybe she's a "flaming lesbian", if there is such a term? Maybe she's really into women? She doesn't usually talk to these other women though.
  15. Thanks!! I think I just might do that. I know she like to golf, so I might mention something about golfing like "I always wanted to learn how to play", even though I have NO interest in the game what so ever!
  16. I made a reply in the thread "Is my co-worker flirting with me?" In my post I explained my situation that is similiar to the author of that threads situation. Anyway, the woman I like goes out to "Wawa" everyday to get a hoagie (east coast term for sub sandwhich). I'm thinking that the next time I see her in the parking lot some morning about saying "You really have me craving those hoagies. I'm going to have to go get myself one at lunch today. Where's that Wawa again?" Then hopefully she will say: "why don't you come with me when I go?" I figured that is easier than asking her out for a drink just yet. How does that idea sound?
  17. There's a woman that works on the same floor in my office bldg that I REALLY LIKE. I and some others really think she may be lesbian. I haven't told a soul that I like her and I want to let her know in the worst way, but am also terrified of anyone else finding out. I'm also terrified of the fact if I act on it and she turns out not to be lesbian. Anyway, this woman will stare and look up-and-down the front of my body...usually when she can see that I can see her doing it. I started out just saying hi to her first. She has since started talking to me first by saying a little something to me either in the bathroom or in the parking lot. She has lately been pretty open with me by telling me what she does over the weekend such as golfing, yard work and her nephews. She even said to me one day when she didn't see me until the afternoon: "I missed you this morning". I don't know how to take that....does it mean she missed me as in the feeling missing someone, or the kind of missed when your late or off timing for something. I only see her 2-3 times a week, so it's really hit-or-miss as to when I see her. So, I am in the same predicament that you are! I wish there was a sure-fire way of knowing that she is interested or even lesbian. Is golfing a popular activity with lesbians?
  18. Thanks for your advice. But, I have been noticing very strange behavior with this woman..... I and several other people have noticed that when she's in an elevator instead of just facing forward like most poeple do, she will turn around and pick someone and just stare at them strating in the face and them fixing her eyes on their waist area. She even does this in the bathroom and it's usually women in their 30's with attractive bodies for the most part. Is this lebian behavior, or something beyond that like psycotic/crazy behavior?
  19. I am a 37yr. old female who likes a 47yr lesbian female, who works on the same floor in my office bldg, but for a different company. I am most sure she is lesbian (she's not a total butch, but is masculine and just has that very preppy/masculine lesbian look about her). She always looks me up-and-down and usually when she knows I can see her doing it, and when she's right in front of me and talking to me or standing near me in the bathroom. I even noticed one day when she was walking to her car at the same time I was walking to mine (she was leaving, I was only getting something from my car) which was a few rows past hers, she was still sitting in her car as I was on my way back into the bldg just watching me walk by and then didn't pull away until after I was already past her car. (that could be coincidence, but from the way she eyes me, it might not be either!) I try to give her glances too, but I don't eye her up-and-down. I just try to let her see that I'm looking back at her and I always try to strike up a conversation, or if it's just in passing, I make sure I say Hi. Even though we don't work for the same company, we are still on the same floor, so it's still in the workplace and I don't want to set myself up for any embarrassment. So if this would develope to a relationship, I would not want it to be exposed in work. Anyway, since I do like her, does anyone know how I can step up the flirting and keep it from being obvious to co-workers? (I don't see her everyday, and when I do see her it's usually without warning) Sorry, this is so long!! This probably sounds immature for my age, but I've never been with another woman, so this is all new to me and is obviously a much more delicate situation than liking a guy.
