myself and my boyriend of 5.5 years split up over the weekend.
Its a bit complicated but we met in our first year in college and stated going out he broke up with me after 8 mths , when we got back for college the next year he asked me back, i said yes , the third time we broke up was for over a year some of it was in college which made it hard as we both had the same circle of friends and some of it was during the summer months , we both thought we had gotten over each other until it was coming close to the end of the 4 years in college, he asked me back, i was a bit reluctant at first but then realised how much i loved him and how much he loved me. For the past two years we went out since college finished, it was a kind of long distance relationship as we both had busy lives aswell as having a job he plays sport to the highest level in this country which means training sessions take up 4-5 days a week , we live an hour and a half away so this meant seeing each other every 2 -3 weeks. Last week he said he hasn't felt the same , but my problem is he has said that before and always came back in tears. At the moment he is under a lot of pressure to make the squad for the coming season and if he doesn't make it this year he never will. I am also unhappy in my job which is my first priority and am looking for a new one .Im wondering do we just need a break or is this it for good.
