quick advice please:

if my guy told me he'd call at 7:00 and it's now 7:40, would that be considered rude and/or flakish? if he calls should i ignore the phone? or is 40 minutes an okay grace period? thank you very much for your advice!!

40 minutes would be a grace period, I am thinking. If he doesn't call at all, then that is a flake off.. or whatever you called it. In other words *resists the urge to start singing "Fly Me To The Moon"* he decided not to call because either he forgot, got too busy, is mean, et cetera. If he does call and is just late calling, I am sure he will have a valid explanation if he is a nice and good guy.

Well 40 minutes is not an ok grace period. But he may have run into some trouble or had to do sumthin that stopped him from calling. Dont jump to conclusions that he just didnt want to call or is ignorin u tho. Wen he calls u, answer and say what happened? Dont ignore the fact that he didnt call. Ask him about it, and show him that u were disappointed in the fact that he was late.

Don't assume he has done wrong uhnless you have a good reason to expect wrongdoing...maybe something came up. Maybe he is just really involved in something...who knows.

Give the guy a break!

If he doesn't call at all, ask him about it the next day.

If he's making something up (you'll probably be able to tell) then you have the right to be mad at him.

If he has a valid explanation, then forgive him but warn him for next time.
