Am I being weird about this?

Hi, i'm 13 and a lot of my friends have been kissed. Dont get me wrong, its not that I havent had boyfriends because I have. But when I think about it, I'm not sure that I really want to be kissed yet. Is that normal? Everyone I know has either been kissed or cant wait to be kissed. What does everyone else think?

It's OK to not want to be kissed at your age! When the time is right, you can kiss all you want

 

Just be sure that you are not abstaining for the wrong reasons.

its normal. everyone wants things at different times. don't feel like you have to want to be kissed just because your friends do. just wait...soon you won't be able to wait until you get kissed.

Totally agree.....there's no set age on when you should be kissed, it should only happen when you're completely comfortable with someone and have the DESIRE to be kissed. Other than that, relax, your time will come!

Wow. I was in your exact same position. (I'm just turned 14) My friends at camp were really presuring me to be kissed, but I said no anyway (I have a post on it called was he right or wrong to ask for this kiss?)

 

The answer isn't that you aren't ready, (like so many people are saying) its that you don't know what you're getting into. (Right? That's how it was for me, at least. I had my own idea of what it would feel like that was way off the mark).

 

Just keep in mind as well that eventually there'll come that guy that you want to kiss, but if you don't know what to do, you'll be a bit stuck. However, I promise your friends are making a big deal out of nothing.
