get to know first?

i'm confused. do people usually ask someone out, then get to know that person or viceversa? is it okay to ask someone out before getting to know him? (i was reading other posts...) can someone answer?

first of all, are you male or female?

 

It is definitely ok for a man to ask out a woman, before he knows her. It's then up to her to decide if she wants to get to know him or not...during a date.

 

A woman can ask a man out too, but they don't do that very much (as you know without any doubt).

 

So tell me, why are you asking this question, is there a girl you like and don't dare to ask out on a date?
