Not quite related to self harm, itself...but along the lines of some of the topics posted in here.

 

Under what conditions MUST a doctor inform your parent of topics discussed? (if 17 years old)

 

Can a doctor prescribe sleeping tablets or anti-despressants without parental consent?

Furthermore, can you be referred to a psychiatrist without parents being aware?

 

Any help would be appreciated.

No they cant tell yor parents wont meds you are on since you turn 16 well thats here in Australia, they can only tell you parents if you are harming your self or say you are going to end your life. They CANT tell your parents unless you want them too
