Im new to all this sex and foreplay, building up to it but is it possible for either a guy or a girl to hav an std wen they hav never even done anything beyond french kissing before? Like through a virus somebody had ages ago or something like that?

Well, I'd say the most you are at risk for is something like Mono. (Which I've had, it's not fun, so watch out for that) -OR- if you're a drug user and have had experience with unclean needles, then you may have something.

It *is* possible to transmit some things, like oral herpes (which is what causes cold sores) and of course illnesses like colds and mono or strep. However, generally I would say you would be okay.

 

Some STI's can be transmitted orally of course, or from genitals to mouth, however if you have both had not had many sexual (or any) encounters your risks will be lower.

 

I would say from what you have posted you would be fine
