feeling guilty

I rent a room in a two story house and live with an older couple. Everything's been going really well between all of us. So this morning I'm washing all my sheets on my bed. So I figured I could lay on the bed in the guest bedroom next to me. Cause my roomates are usually at work. Well I opened the door to the guest bedroom with my labtop, and all of a sudden the older women comes out of her room. I was so embarrassed. She asked "is there something you need?" and I was speechless for moment and then I said I was washing my sheets and I'm sorry. I know it could be a lot worse, but I feel awful right now. I rarely ever go in there. I don't want her to think of me differently or not trust me. What should I do?

If the guest bedroom is the same that you rent to this older couple...you aren't allowed to go in when they are not there. You rent the room, they deserve privacy.

 

If it's not the same room and she just caught you walking into the guest bedroom. I don't see a problem...
