Dumpers who ever regretted - why, when and what did you do?

Just a curiosity question, as I have seen some posts last few days in response to others from dumpers who did have some regrets at some point and knew a couple too.

 

Why the dump in the first place?

 

When did you regret & WHY did you regret?

 

What did you do about it, if anything at all?

I dumped my ex-girlfriend because I was convinced I was making her unhappy, and she was the kind of girl that would rather be unhappy than break up with me and make me go through it, so I didn't see a point in going on.

 

I started regretting my decision the minute I told her because I couldn't be 100% sure that I was the cause of her unhappiness. There were a lot of things going on in her life, but nothing serious if I recall correctly.

 

We didn't speak for 3 weeks, but as soon as we spoke, my resolve broke down and we started working things out to get back together. I would say we were meant to be, but she just dumped me this week, so that can't be.
