Need space = break = breakup?

Can't really say much as it just came to me but I feel like the best way to handle all three is the same:

 

Back off, don't wait, move on.

I'd have to agree. When they say they need space, give them what they want and then some.

give them all the space they want and dont contact them. that way you can not make the situation any worse. the only way is to make them feel they have lost you and hope that they miss you enough to want yu back.in the meantime, treat it as a break up,keep yourself busy and focus on yourself. the odds of them coming back are very small so dont be holding out too much hope. actions speaks louder than words. mine said she missed me while on a break, i held out hope but then a few weeks later she broke up for good.
