Gasping for air,

I close my eyes and wish you weren’t there.

With every tear that falls,

It’s just another one of your mistakes.

My heart breaks.

 

There is this stabbing pain,

But you still can’t explain.

With every sob I make,

You try to apologize.

I am tired of all your lies.

 

Another sleepless night,

I don’t know if it’ll be all right.

With every hour that passes by,

A little piece of me melts away.

I don’t know if it’ll be ok.

 

Just an empty shell,

I am not feeling so well.

With every promise you break,

The more I die inside.

I guess I tried.
