finally dating friend but what now?

This is my first post so hi everyone!

 

I've been friends with this guy for a while and gradually started liking him more than just a friend and guessed he felt the same. We're both shy so nothing major happened until he asked me out a short time ago. To say I was happy would be an understatement!

 

We've been out a few times - gone well I think. But it sometimes feels strange - especially when it comes to the kissing bit! I like it but finding it hard to get the 'this is my friend' idea out of my head.

 

I like him alot - definitely as more than a friend - and want to get past this awkward stage and give it a go with him, but I'm not sure how I should do it.

 

Any ideas? thanks in advance!

Sounds like a good friendship awkwardly morphing into a strong romance.

 

Enjoy the feeling of the two of you "discovering" what works and what doesn't.

 

Nothing worse then first being with someone and the feeling of "been there , done that"

 

Enjoy this time and remember it when rough roads arrive. It will strengthen you.
