I don't know. She has a boyfriend and I really don't want to over step the boundary. I would feel so awkward if I asked her that. Maybe next time she just mentions something about hanging out I'll just hint at it? I don't want to seem desperate or pathetic. Keep in mind we are both 16. She'll be drving in 2 months and me in 4 months.

RITTEN 2 MONTHS AGO: There is this girl. I've known of her and we've been in the same classes together for the past 2 or 3 years. Never really got around to talking her as I'm actually very shy and won't approach girls like that. She is always surrounded by guys anyways. So this year we have one class in common. In this class everyweek we have a little "group task" thing to do every week and she's always been my group since the start of the year. Usually this time our group won't actually do the work but we'll rather just sit there, talk and goof off. Everytime our 4 person group comes together, she always talks to me. Why? I don't get it. I mean I guess you could say I'm a guy of average or alittle below average looks and I'm nice. She currently has a boyfriend that she's been with for about a year now. Everytime we're working together we always talk like a bestfriend of mine would. Real "juicy" converstaions. I've never had anything like that before. Shes probably the only girl I actually really enjoy talking to and would trust. She always tells me about random **** and her life and stuff she's done with boyfriend or any problems that shes having. She knows that I'm a shy, quiet, and nice guy, but still. Why? There are probably like 2 or 3 other hotter guys that she could hang out with but its always me. I've kinda done some tests with her to see if what I think is happening such as: I'll move to the other side of the room working by myself and she'll come and talk to me. Stuff like that. She's said that she trusts me a couple of times. And I trust her. I know that I'm in the friend catergory but I could careless. I'm not sure if you call it flirting with me but what she does is she'll hit me, poke me, make fun of me, joke around, slap my * * *, ask me werid sexual questions...stuff like that..I don't see why she would. She also said that she hope that we have the same class together next semester. So what I'm getting at is: Why? Why is she doing this? For what reasons? This girl doesn't have many male or female friends...as she is very protected by her family and her boyfriend. Why me? Why not some other guy? How do I go about becoming better and more trusting open friends with her without hitting on her or making it seem like I like her... Thanks for reading all this, if you did. I really appreciate it. FROM 3 WEEKS AGO: So this is what has happned: she mentioned that she would go to prom with me if she didn't have a BF (not sure if she was joking or not, possible), made me be her partner for the class that she made us take together and chose me over the more popular, better looking same age and older guys, has made remarks as I am "like" her best friend ( * * *?) and we have a brother/sister type relationship ( * * *?x10) Ummm..honestly? What the hell is she doing this for WHY? As far as talking to her outside of school...I IMed her couple days ago, and to my surprise she really seemed like she wanted to talk to me and kept the conversation going. Compared to last year were it didn't seem like she wanted to. NOW: Aight well I'm starting to become completely comfortable around her (first for me with a chick) and can talk to her about pretty much anything. Last week I wrote her alittle note saying how much she has helped me, how much I appreciate her talking to me, how much HER talking to ME means and so on. In the past 2 weeks some things she has mentioned, not sure if she was just saying it to say it or what: 1. Again said she'd take me to Senior prom next year 2. Said she'd pick me up sometime in the summer and hang out. 3. Said she can be herself around me. I think thats it... Again, I know girls say * * * * like this just to mess with guy's heads but I guess it was worth noting. We also joke around ALOT, she hits me alot, make fun of each other, she acts like a little kid around me and I enjoy that. SO my questions are: How do I become better, deeper friends with her? How can I maintain our friendship now and over the summer? How should/can I talk to her outside of school/hang out somewhere else? How do I be friendly but not annoying to her? Please understand that I'm not directly looking to **** her or hookup with her, althougth if she came on to me and she wanted to then yes maybe althought I'm probably contradicting myself when I say that.
