hey, i was wondering how do people normaly react if you tell them that your gay (p.s im a guy)

hi i was wondering how would i come out to my friends and family that i'm gay? I'm not sure if i should tell my dad he'd never talk to me again same with one of my friends if you could share how anyone came out and told people that would be great
